Why do you need this training?
The Workplace Safety and Health Act 2006 Section 12(3)(d) requires employers to develop and implement procedures for dealing with emergencies that may arise while those persons are at work.
This course is intended for all persons working at height. The course will equip delegates with the skills to lower or raise a suspended casualty.
The course also covers all aspects of suspension trauma, including methods of minimising the effect on the casualty and how to handle the casualty and how to handle the casualty when they have been recovered to a safe place.
Delegates will learn selection of anchor points and awareness of potential hazards.
Practical training is scenario-based, and will equip delegates with the skills to assess rescue situations and generate rescue plans based on circumstances.
