Rope Access Operator Course (5 Days) - SGD$1600 per delegate

This entry level course is designed for those who already have specific trade skills but wish to use rope access as a method of gaining access to their worksite. To teach the necessary access skills to work in an environment where safe access and egress by conventional access means may not be appropriate.

This course is fully compliant with BS7985: 2002 code of practice for the use of ropes for industrial purposes. BS 7985 courses are ideal for companies who wish to extend their capabilities in specific environments.

Candidates wishing to work as general rope access subcontractors should consider the IRATA Level 1 course.

Certification
Valid for three years on successful completion.
Practical and written test. All assessments are carried out by a person other than the trainer.

Safe approach to point of descent / ascent
Methods of descent and ascent, change from descent to ascent and back
Elementary rigging, rope management
Install and pass a deviation, passing re-belays, change from one rope to another, cross a knot
Aid climbing
Simple rescue by lowering and vertical rescue by descent
Selection of anchor points
Experience of rigging and movement in specific work environment
